My name is Madi Grace Barton, I am a current Hartt School Senior studying to graduate with a BFA in Musical Theater.
I approach my work with full emotional honesty and resilience. I believe that all art was created for a reason, and therefore, everything has its own story and lesson to be interpreted. What really itches that part of my brain is the idea of building a person within the boundaries of a character.
My strong head belt and shimmering mix lend themselves well to the world of strong-willed, bright-eyed, comedic, and ingenue roles, and my unique sense of humor always tends to wiggle its way into my work.
Aside from performing, I am deeply passionate about building community and fostering meaningful connections. I place great importance on maintaining a balanced, energized mind and body. As well as, actively incorporating these values into my daily life. I take pride in consuming and creating art that fuels my imagination and keeps my creativity flowing.
When not on a stage, you will likely find me journaling, painting my bedroom doors, or walking the same neighborhood loop until I fill my activity circles. You can also sometimes find me skipping through the theater and breaking into random tap breaks.
